Blue Tourmaline Ring, Sterling Silver Band, Artisan Rustic Alternative Engagement Wedding Ring, Matte Satin Finish, US Size 8.25

A lovely artisan, alternative engagement or wedding ring created with a faceted blue paraiba tourmaline set in a hand-carved and cast sterling silver band. The colour of the stone is most like the photos of this ring on my fingers. This ring is a US size 8.25 and is ready to ship. Sorry, the yellow sapphire ring in the last photo is not included.

I am working with Mother Nature and natural stones, therefore exact sizes, shapes and colours vary. I take my photos in natural light to capture the true colour of my pieces. However various computer screens may change the colours.

Ancient legend says that tourmaline can be found in all colours because it travelled along a rainbow and collected all the rainbow's colours. Tourmaline helps with discernment, intuition, insight, and the power of imagination. Medieval shamans considered tourmaline to be ‘receptive’ and to help with mystical and meditative connection. Tourmaline is said to polarize light and attract light bodies. It also attracts sympathy and friendship. It introduces the presence of compassion and wisdom when dealing with others because it promotes flexibility of thought and open-mindedness. Alchemists likened tourmaline to the philosopher’s stone, granting enlightenment and enhancing spiritual connection. Blue tourmaline creates a commitment towards the completion of one's goals and is said to protect the wearer against dangers. In the esoteric tradition of the 7 Rays, tourmaline is a semiprecious stone of the 6th Ray (devotion) and aligns with the 3rd solar plexus or Manipura chakra. Tourmaline is a birthstone for Taurus and Gemini.

Silver is closely linked to the moon and is a metal of clear light, of the psychic mind, and of loving and healing, of wisdom, self-control and reflection. It is said to have calming and cleansing properties while amplifying the energy of any gemstone it comes in contact with. It also symbolizes wealth and prosperity. In the esoteric tradition of the 7 Rays, silver is the metal of the 7th Ray (ceremony).
